Fall Always Brings New Challenges

Although the Champoeg Rides in
Oregon began with intermittent torrential rains on day one, the second and
third daysÕ rides were dry and lovely.

Rain, however, is the bane of
existence in the PNW. Concerns over dam failures have brought new obstacles
to some trail users: massive sandbagging operations.
